“What if our names hold traces of who we are becoming?

From that question, Aura Garden emerged...”

THE DREAM

Towards the end of 2011, I experienced what some might call an awakening. While travelling, I awoke from an incredibly vivid dream. In retrospect, it felt more like a vision, or perhaps a memory of something I had not yet lived. Whatever it was, the experience marked a profound turning point in my life and led me into a deeper exploration of consciousness, meaning, and what it is to be human.

In the years that followed, I was drawn into the study of embodiment, symbolism, numerology, astrology, and other pathways of self-inquiry. Over time, I came to see stories as living metaphors that reveal themselves through the body, guiding us toward a deeper remembrance of who we are.

Guided by intuition and curiosity, I began exploring the hidden patterns in language and was led to James Hillman's The Soul’s Code. His idea that each person carries a unique imprint or calling within the soul really resonated with me and sparked a question: What if our names hold traces of who we are becoming?

From that question, Aura Garden emerged, a hidden constellation of meaning contained within the letters of Andrea Agur.

There are worlds within words. Sometimes our names, much like our astrological birth charts, carry archetypal clues about who we are and what we are here to remember. The voice of our essence rests quietly within us, awaiting the conditions to emerge.

Over the past decade, much of this inquiry has unfolded through the craft of acting and performance, through the embodied language of movement, emotion, and voice. Again and again, it has invited me into the practice of returning to my body,  to live and speak from within her. Not just the parts that feel easy or familiar, but the whole of my experience.

The word Aura speaks to the unseen, what some call the fingerprint of the soul, woven into the greater fabric of life. Perhaps in the times to come, or perhaps even now, we will recognize one another less by appearance and more by resonance.

The Garden is a metaphor for the inner landscape: both sanctuary and source. A place of becoming, remembering, and return. As the earth is an anagram of the heart, the Garden is not somewhere we enter, but something we are.

The body itself is both vessel and seed, holding within it the possibility of transformation. It is the endless beginning, the sacred return, and the place where the boundaries of the self soften as we remember our belonging within the timelessness of the Interconnected One.

Today, I offer the living, breathing, and playful expression of this unfolding journey. One continually shaped by experience while remaining connected to its original essence. An ongoing devotion to the divine design within us all.

A human,  being human.
